Google earth is one amazing software that lets you explore the earth in a fashion that is almost as if you are a bird. Now, with the latest release of it's beta version, it would let you dive into the sea and explore the oceans like a fish. While the uses of Google earth for education can easily be understood for teaching geography, I was curious to know if and how this software could be used for teaching other subjects. Not surprisingly, Google Earth has a site for educators where it lists all the creative ways in which Google Earth can be used in the classroom. For the more creative and proactive teachers, Google provides another software , the Google sketchup that lets you create your own 3D sketches.
